Utility – This storage site is a lifesaver. In the event that my computer crashes, I lose a flashdrive, or my students claim that they lost their work, we can store documents on Yahoo! Briefcase. One disadvantage is the lack of control over what information is removed from the site. For instance, if a student removes a document, it will not be retrievable for other students. The site must make it teacher-centered in case that happens.
User-Friendly – This tool is easy to access, especially for students. For students who do not have a flashdrive or storage device for their papers, Briefcase can be to their disadvantage because Internet access is necessary. Another disadvantage is that students may be confused with the process of adding their own material because it sometimes signs out the user and must be signed back in again.
Appeal – The overall appearance is dynamic. The tool seems like it will be appealing and quite attractive to high school students. This is an important element for students that teachers should consider. If students are uninterested in a site, they might be more reluctant to leave information.
