Utility – This site is great for finding people, designing personal pages, and managing student-teacher interaction.
User-Friendliness – Students are able to find convenience in the tools provided on this site. When users are familiar with the different features, they will be able to access a variety of options most free storage sites or websites do not offer.
Appeal – Since students can design their pages, they will be more appreciative of the overall appeal. Since so many people are on this network, more information can be used between my students and their teachers.

GOOGLE PAGES
Utility – This is a nice tool for building lesson plans. ELL students will view this tool as a great advantage for their courses. Perhaps if the tool offered a translation box, it would be handy.
User-Friendliness – Webpages are great when the users are able to design their pages with links. Based on how convenient the teacher places them will be beneficial to the students.
Appeal – The teacher is able to decide on a design that is appealing. This could helps students stay focused.

GMAIL
Utility - Providing discussion forums, chat rooms and student grade logs are tools necessary for ELL communication. Students will be able to converse openly with one another.
User-Friendliness - This tool is very user-friendly for teacher use. As for student use, most students will be able to access, point, click and comment on the topics.
Appeal – The appearance of this site can accommodate different backgrounds and shades. Hopefully students will be able to choose more designs and templates for personalization.

TRIPOD
Utility – Tripod has many useful tools. Although the storage space is quite small, it does a lot of things that I never thought could be manipulated on a free site. The key word is that it is free so therefore the storage space is not expected to be enormous. But evidently movies, pictures, audio clips, and documents can be stored on this site. Students have immediate access if given the URL and many links can be added to invite more Internet browsing so that information space is not overused.

YAHOO! BRIEFCASE
Utility – This storage site is a lifesaver. In the event that my computer crashes, I lose a flashdrive, or my students claim that they lost their work, we can store documents on Yahoo! Briefcase. One disadvantage is the lack of control over what information is removed from the site. For instance, if a student removes a document, it will not be retrievable for other students. The site must make it teacher-centered in case that happens.
User-Friendly – This tool is easy to access, especially for students. For students who do not have a flashdrive or storage device for their papers, Briefcase can be to their disadvantage because Internet access is necessary. Another disadvantage is that students may be confused with the process of adding their own material because it sometimes signs out the user and must be signed back in again.
Appeal – The overall appearance is dynamic. The tool seems like it will be appealing and quite attractive to high school students. This is an important element for students that teachers should consider. If students are uninterested in a site, they might be more reluctant to leave information.

Utility – This online storage facility is very useful. Being able to store links to important sites is necessary for teachers when they want students to visit a variety of sites. Teachers also can manage more than one class at a time using their bookmark site for all subject areas.

As a teacher, I am able to design a lesson plan that requires my ELL students to access this site. This makes it very user-friendly for teacher use. Appeal – The folders are simple and can be marked with a variety of icons. Although the icons will not be appealing to typical high school students, the icons identify things of importance and could minimize confusion when searching for the right links.

Utility – Firefox is the only Internet browser that I use. I am very pleased with its capabilities and tools. Although Internet Explorer and Safari are similar in function, I notice that fewer pop-ups appear on Firefox. Also, when using the classroom computers, Firefox is more reliable for site access. ELL students need not worry about confusing words unless they are unfamiliar with the HELP buttons.
